The Equus 6086 (also sold as the E6086) is a
2-1/2 inch mini analog tachometer designed by
Equus Performance for budget-conscious car enthusiasts and DIY mechanics. Part of the Equus 6000 series, it reads
0 to 8,000 RPM in 100 RPM increments and features a classic black racing face housed in a round-shoulder bezel.

Important Compatibility Notes
- Gasoline Only: This unit is completely incompatible with diesel engines.
- Signal Wire Only: It cannot be used with inductive pickup clamps. It connects directly via a green wire to the negative side of the ignition coil. [1]
