1939 Worlds Fair George Washington 150th Anniversary Inauguration Medal Souvenir. This commemorative coin honors the 150th anniversary of George Washington's inauguration as the first president of the United States, April 30, 1789. Washington took the oath of office on the balcony of Federal Hall in New York City. A century and a half later to the day, Franklin Delano Roosevelt gave a speech to open the 1939 season of the New York World's Fair. This piece holds historical significance as a keepsake from the 1939 World's Fair event, making it a unique and collectible item for numismatists and history enthusiasts. It measures 31.5mm in diameter. The back is stamped "DES. PAT. 107424" for Design Patent, as shown in the last photo.
