VINTAGE ARCHITECTURAL SALVAGE – MILK GLASS EXIT LIGHT GLOBE

Very cool vintage wedge-shaped illuminated EXIT light globe made of heavy white/milk glass with bold red EXIT lettering. This is the type of commercial lighting globe associated with vintage Kopp/Perfeclite EXIT fixtures and is an especially interesting piece for collectors of architectural salvage, vintage theater lighting, Art Deco/industrial decor, or old commercial fixtures.

The unusual wedge/triangular form and red-on-white lettering make this a fantastic display piece even if you don't have the original lighting hardware.

KOPP is handwritten in black marker on the glass. Please note that this is NOT a molded, etched, or otherwise factory-applied manufacturer's mark, so I am not representing the globe as definitively Kopp-made. The design and dimensions are consistent with vintage Kopp/Perfeclite-style EXIT globes.

Condition

Overall good vintage/architectural salvage condition.

The globe shows genuine age and use, including wear and loss to portions of the red EXIT lettering. There is also some discoloration/wear around the fitter opening.

The globe had old tan wall paint on portions of the exterior, apparently from having been painted around while installed. I will carefully remove the obvious later wall paint while taking care not to disturb the original red lettering. Some traces may remain, and I will photograph the condition after cleaning.

I do not see any cracks or major chips in the glass. Please examine all photos carefully, as the photographs are an important part of the description and show the actual item you will receive.

This is being sold as a vintage glass EXIT globe/shade only. No mounting bracket, electrical components, or other hardware are included unless specifically shown in the photographs.
