This is a vintage Japanese wall hanging souvenir featuring Okinawa's famous Shureimon Gate and a traditional Ryukyu dancer. It was purchased from an antique dealer in Aizu-Wakamatsu, originally sourced from an old traditional Japanese estate (Kuradashi).
It has a wonderful retro Showa-era atmosphere with a rich, rustic textile texture. Great piece for collectors of vintage Japanese textiles, mid-century Asian decor, or Okinawa memorabilia.
