Lindy Fralin 8k humbucker Neck Position  is a Modern a PAF specification. While the standard Pure PAF neck is normally wound to 7.5k with an 8k bridge, ordering or specifying an 8k resistance for the neck provides a fatter, higher-output vintage tone.

Tonal Characteristics

• Fatter tone: More bass response and lower midrange punch than the standard 7.5k neck version.

• Smooth breakup: Early, musical distortion when you push your amplifier.

• Clean clarity: Retains note definition and articulation when you roll back the volume knob.

Technical Specifications

• Coil Wire: 42 Plain Enamel wire (vintage Gibson spec).

• Magnets:  Alnico IV (for the Modern PAF 8k) or hand-weakened Alnico variants .
