Q: Why do readings vary when testing different parts of the same produce?

A: Nitrate is not evenly distributed throughout fruits and vegetables. Testing different spots on the same carrot, for example, will reflect the nitrate level of the specific area where the probes are inserted. Reinserting the probes into the same hole may also change readings due to altered pulp density from pressure. Minor fluctuations are normal and expected.

Q: Why do results differ when selecting different food presets?

A: Readings are calculated by the device's chip using species-specific calibration algorithms. Each type of produce has a unique cellular structure and nitrate concentration ratio.
