Up for sale is an authentic antique set of 5 traditional Japanese hair ornaments (Kushi comb and Kanzashi hairpins), sourced approximately 20 years ago from an estate storage (Kura) clearing in Aizu-Wakamatsu, Fukushima.
Based on the style and markings, these items date back to the pre-WW2 era, likely late Meiji to Taisho period.
Comb (Kushi): Marked "18 sen" (historical currency mark). Appears to be unused. Measures approx. 16.5 cm width x 4 cm height.
Hairpins (Kanzashi): Set of 4, ranging in length (top to bottom):
1st: Approx. 12 cm
2nd: Approx. 16 cm
3rd: Approx. 18.5 cm
4th: Approx. 20.5 cm
