While 2.5 million were minted and almost 300 were graded (178 by NGC and 110 by PCGS), only a bit over 10% of these were graded MS 64 (22 by NGC and 10 by PCGS), and only a handful were graded higher (6 by NGC and 4 by PCGS). 1942 was the last year of issue for British mandatory Palestine silver coinage, making these coins key date for the type.
