The Proses OO/HO Scale Programmable Model Train Traverser (Transfer Table) is a space-saving solution for moving locomotives and rolling stock between parallel service, maintenance and storage tracks.

Inspired by full-size locomotive depots and railroad workshops, the motorized transfer table moves the locomotive sideways instead of turning it, making it ideal for engine houses, locomotive depots, maintenance facilities and model railroad yards where space is limited.

Its 12-position programmable touchscreen digital controller allows the moving bridge to be sent automatically to saved track positions, while manual controls provide precise positioning whenever required.

The track on the moving platform is powered, allowing locomotives to move directly onto and off the bridge. The system can be used with both analog/DC and digital/DCC model railway layouts.

Why Use a Traverser / Transfer Table?

Unlike a turntable, which rotates a locomotive, a transfer table moves locomotives sideways between parallel tracks.

This makes a model railroad transfer table particularly useful when several engine house or service tracks need to be accessed in a relatively narrow area. It can create an impressive locomotive maintenance facility without requiring the circular space needed for a conventional turntable.
