Classic vintage Singer 99K electric sewing machine, serial number EG003589, dating from Singer’s 1950 production allocation.

This is the compact 3/4-size Singer 99K design, finished in traditional black enamel with attractive decorative detailing.

The machine is fitted with an electric motor and uses a knee lever / knee bar speed control rather than a conventional foot pedal. The knee control is mounted through the wooden base and allows the machine speed to be controlled while sewing.

The machine has been tested and is working, and a video will be added to the eBay listing showing it operating.

It comes housed in its vintage wooden carrying case with textured outer covering, carrying handle and metal catches. The case opens to reveal the wooden interior and the knee lever arrangement built into the base.

The machine also retains its Singer sewing lamp and decorative metal faceplate.

Included in the sale is the Singer 99K sewing machine, electric motor, knee lever / knee bar speed controller, Singer sewing lamp, wooden base, fitted carrying case and power cable with UK plug.

As expected for a machine of this age, there are cosmetic signs of use including scratches, paint and enamel wear, marks and some wear to the decorative finish. There is visible finish loss around parts of the machine body.

The wooden base and carrying case also show age-related marks, scuffs and general wear.

The electrical cables are vintage and show age, so although the machine has been tested and is working, a buyer intending regular use may wish to have the electrical components professionally checked due to their age.

Please study all photographs carefully as they form an important part of the description and show the exact machine being sold.

A lovely vintage Singer machine, ideal for collectors, sewing enthusiasts, display or continued practical use.

Video included in the listing showing the machine working.
