Very nice copy of the super rare very first Dolly Parton LP, Hello, I’m Dolly, on Monument SLP-18085. This was before she got “discovered” by Porter Wagoner and then signed to RCA and became famous. She had a couple of minor regional hits from this album, Dumb Blonde and Something Fishy, but didn’t really start making a national name for herself until a year later when she was on Porter’s TV show and making records on RCA. This is a rare original pressing, and quite a nice copy. The disc plays very near flawlessly and just beautifully. There are some minor scuffs but they don’t affect the play at all except to maybe make some very slight crackle between a couple of songs, but really it plays beautifully. The cover has some corner and edge wear (I show photos of all the corners, the worst of which is the upper right), and a 4” seam split in the center of the bottom edge. Some general signs of use but really still quite clean and striking. Not bad. A really nice copy of this historic Dolly rarity. Hard to beat.
