For sale Antique 10 Inch F8 Wet Plate Brass Lens. Except for “Patent” marked faintly on the front, no other markings are visible. The aperture scale is from F8 to F64.
The approx focal length measured from the image formed to the lens is 10 inches. Lens dimension: 2½ inch height; 2¼ inch front dia; 1½ inch back dia, 45mm flange id.
The optics have some marks on the front and back surfaces, and for edge balsam separation on the front and back glasses. The aperture diaphragm opens and closes smoothly.
Lens comes with a square brass mounting flange that fits only partially, see images. Great Lens for collecting or using.
