- Installation of our device must be performed by qualified installer and all connections to water installation need to be in accordance with local standards and requirements
- Volumised low loss header is designed for vertical operation only
- Device cannot operate with temperatures below zero degrees Celsius
Maximum water temperature in volumised low loss header cannot exceed 95 degrees Celsius
It is required to equip the volumised low loss header tank with cut-off valves to facilitate possible service activities our VLLH can work in both: open vented and sealed heating systems provided that all legally binding requirements are met
Maximum working pressure for buffer tank is 0,6 MPa
Technical description
Volumised low loss headers are designed to operate either with cold or hot water. Their main purpose is to store sufficient volume of heating medium and as a consequence, reduce the on/off switchings of main heat source – mainly heat pump. Additional function is to act as a hydraulic separator (low loss header – LLH) between the heating circuit and the installation circuit, so to ensure the heat pump has always the correct flow rate
Volumised low loss headers are made of mild steel, insulated with polystyrene foam and leatherette coating. All units are equipped with automatic air vent and neodymium magnet separator placed on drain valve.
Neodymium magnet separator (NMS) for Volumised low loss headers
NMS consists of very strong neodymium magnet and metal basket construction built on standard drain valve. Ferromagnetic particles, according to different studies, represent between 50 and 80% of all central heating system residues. Those elements are particularly dangerous to installations equipped with electronic pumps, as well as other high-valued and very sensible components such as valves or sensors. NMS is placed in the bottom part of BHE (or any other device with drain valve) facilitating residue collection. Filling state can be easily checked by momentarily turning off drain valve – low or no flow indicates necessity to clean device.
