This is the box you go through fastest — colour and bleach application, beard dye, shampooing, wiping down a station, handling disinfectant. The manufacturer is CE marked and ISO 9001 certified.
Use an examination glove for that. This box is labelled non-medical by the manufacturer, so we sell it as a general-purpose glove for colour, chemical and cleaning work. For shaves or any bloodborne-pathogen exposure, our Ambitex N400 is an FDA-cleared exam glove.
It means the manufacturer has not put this glove through FDA examination-glove clearance, and has said so on the box. It is a perfectly good nitrile glove for the work described above. It is simply not a medical device and we will not describe it as one.
Nitrile is the right material for it — it resists the chemicals in colour, bleach and developer far better than vinyl, which is what most bargain shop gloves are made from.
We have no food-contact compliance statement for this box, so we will not claim it. If you need a food-safe glove, the Ambitex N400 publishes 21 CFR Parts 170-199 compliance.
