Solder this simple mod between the input and output lugs of your volume control pot to smooth out treble bleed. Get more uniform tone from 1 to 10, and a more rounded sound without a muddy dullness at lower volume knob settings.

Also adds versatility by letting you control the boost of your amp from the guitars volume control. First, set the amp to a crunch tone. Then, reducing the guitar volume should give a progressively cleaner sound without the previous loss of tone.

Hand-soldered, with a double wire wrap at each joint (see photo 3) to keep the resistor in place while you install - Without a wrap at each end similar mods can just fall apart while soldering into place. Each mod comprises of a high quality metal film resistor in parallel with a myler film capacitor (for tonal applications these are superior to lower grade, often beige coloured, ceramic components).
