Vintage Stratford Fountain Pen – Black & Gray Marbled Celluloid – Gold Tone Trim – Untested

Offered is a vintage Stratford fountain pen featuring a beautiful black and gray marbled/striped celluloid barrel and cap with gold-tone trim.

The pen has a classic vintage American fountain pen appearance, including a decorative gold-tone cap band, gold-tone clip, and barrel lever filling mechanism. The clip is marked “Stratford,” and the nib is stamped “Stratford” and “Made in U.S.A.” with additional wording indicating an iridium-tipped nib.

The marbled celluloid has a particularly attractive swirling pattern that is much more noticeable in person.

Condition / Testing

I have not tested this pen for filling, ink flow, or writing performance, and I cannot guarantee that the original ink sac or internal filling mechanism is functional.

The lever is present on the barrel. I have not attempted to force or manipulate the filling mechanism.

The pen shows signs of age and use, including minor surface wear, discoloration/patina to the gold-tone trim, and other small imperfections consistent with an older vintage writing instrument. Please examine all photographs carefully, as the photos are an important part of the description.

No ink or other testing has been performed.

This would make an excellent addition to a collection of vintage American fountain pens or a worthwhile restoration project.
