THE BODICE HAS A LACE TRIMMED BAND COLLAR AT THE TOP WITH BEAUTIFUL RUCHED GATHERING RUNNING FROM THE PIPED SEAM ON THE SHOULDER WITH FULLNESS DOWN THE FRONT AND HEAVY RUCHED GATHERING ON THE BOTTOM CENTER FRONT WITH THE BOTTOM EDGE FULLY PIPED

SLEEVES ARE SET OFF THE SHOULDER WITH PIPING TRIMMING THE ARM HOLE AND PIPING ATOP THE DOUBLE RUFFLES

A REMOVEABLE LONG SLEEVE IS STITCHED IN ON THE INNER TOP SEAM WITH FULLNESS TO THE CENTER SLEEVE AND A PIPED BAND AT THE WRIST WITH RUFFLE AT THE END

SKIRT CLOSES IN THE REAR WITH THE INTERIOR UNLINED.  LINEN IS LINING THE INNER WAISTBAND ONLY

TRIPLE TIERED FLOUNCED SKIRTING IN BEAUTIFUL ROWS AND PAISLEY PATTERNS TRIMS THE BOTTOM WITH THE INNER BOTTOM SWEEP IN THE SPRIG PRINT COTTON AND LINED IN LINEN ON THE INNER BOTTOM EDGE HEM

CONDITION:   THIS GOWN IS SOLD AS IT WAS ACQUIRED AND COULD USE SOME MINOR RESTORATION

THERE IS A FINGERTIP HOLE ASIDE THE RIGHT UNDERARM ON THE CHEST AREA, NOTE THE IMAGE.

THE LONG SLEEVES ARE HEAVILY CHEWED ALL AROUND THE TOP BENEATH THE RUFFLES AND I PERSONALLY WOULD REMOVE AND STEAL SOME FABRIC FROM THE INNER BOTTOM HEM OF THE SKIRT TO MAKE THE REPAIRS, NONE THE WISER.

THE OUTER RUFFLES ON THE RIGHT SIDE HAVE SOME SMALL BREAKAGE TO THE FRONT AS WELL AND WILL NEED SOME SELECTIVE PATCHING.

AN ERASER SIZED FRAY IS ON THE CUFF ON THE RIGHT SIDE WITH A SMALL SPLIT AT THE SEAM ON THE REAR LOW BACK

THE SKIRT NEEDS THE HOOKS REMOVED AS THEY ARE RUSTING.  A TWO INCH INNER PLEAT WAS TAKEN ON EACH SIDE AND AROUND THE REAR TO SHORTEN THE LENGTH

THERE ARE FOUR HOLES TO THE BOTTOM FLOUNCE WITH ONE SLICE THAT RUNS VERTICAL THAT IS PICTURED, SMALL REPAIRS WOULD NOT SHOW.

SIX INCHES OF THE BOTTOM FLOUNCE HAVE COME FREE AT THE SEAM AND NEEDS TO BE STITCHED BACK

THERE IS A THUMBPRINT OF RUST STAINING ON THE BOTTOM RUFFLE THAT IS HARD TO NOTE

SUCH A WONDERFUL BEAUTIFUL PRINT 1850S SUMMER GOWN

Vintage and antique items ARE NOT new items.

Vintage clothing is described to its best and sold as found…and described as accurately as possible. The items HAVE NOT been cleaned and should be cleaned prior to wearing at the discretion of the buyer. Often for proper fit, hang, and wear ability, pieces will need to be altered and/or adding a hook or snap here or there, with a seam closure or strengthening needed. Vintage clothing is most often worn previously, and if old stock, often has slight imperfections from storage, a hint of color or odor.

Measurements are to be assumed that they are at maximum, if you have any questions, please ask PRIOR to the auction’s end. These are antique articles, having the age stated….all flaws if any are painstakingly outlined. The exact color and sizing of an item is the responsibility of the bidder, please read the measurements carefully and ask questions if uncertain
