This listing is for an authentic vintage 1984 German commemorative walking medal (Wandermedaille) from the 19th International Dreiländereck Walk hosted by Wanderfreunde Hellertal (WdFr. Hellertal).

The main pendant features a detailed, brightly enameled illustration of a Common Redpoll (Birkenzeisig in German) perched on a branch, along with the text "Geschützte Vögel" (Protected Birds). The back of the medal is stamped with the prestigious maker's mark "G. Poellath Schrobenhausen", a famous Bavarian medal manufacturer.

The medal comes suspended from its original green-and-white woven ribbon with the top header pin attached. It measures 13.5 cm in total height from the top of the pin bar to the bottom tip of the ribbon. The piece is in excellent vintage condition with vibrant enamel work and clean metallic finishes.
