Complete matching set of eight original Hans Schindler hand-colored Seidenradierungen (silk etchings) printed on silk fabric. Each is pencil titled for its location and hand-signed "H. Schindler." Subjects include Vienna (multiple scenes), Regensburg, Bamberg Rathaus, Rothenburg, and Ingolstadt. Visible silk weave confirms the silk printing process. One inspected example bears a pencil reverse notation reading "285/2." Acquired from the estate of USAF Major General Charles R. Roderick.
Condition Notes:
Silk weave is visible throughout and is near pristine. Pencil titles and signatures are present. Mats exhibit age toning. Frames show minor age-related wear. One frame was opened to re-center the artwork, thus finding the 225/2 notation; all but 1 of the remaining pieces retain their existing backing so it's unknown if all are marked. No damage to the artwork was observed through the glass, the silk appears mint.
