Hand-carved in 1982, this is a rare early work by Wyoming master Ben Barto—known today as "Bone Daddy" and founder of the Horns for Heroes veteran foundation. This isn't a standard flat carving; it features a high-relief bucking bronco rodeo scene carved directly into an elk antler crown. The craftsmanship is incredible, with floating horse legs and deep negative-space undercuts that give the scene real movement and depth.

​This is Buckle #141, a low-number professional piece from the very beginning of Barto’s career in the early 80s.
​Condition: Near Mint. It looks like it’s been in a time capsule. Zero age wear, no scuffs to the brass hardware, and the antler has perfect original color. It’s never been used or polished.
