The Koss T-1 is a vintage early-1970s audio accessory called a Monitoring Adapter, designed for tape recorders.

It contains internal matching transformers to convert high-impedance sources (600 to 10,000 ohms from tape decks) down to a low 4-ohm output suitable for vintage stereophones.
