The Hobart VMLH-40D is a 40-quart "D-style" wire whip attachment designed for classic Hobart commercial mixers (such as 60-quart or 80-quart heavy-duty units using a 40-quart adapter bowl setup). It does not fit modern Legacy-series mixers.

Compatibility Details

• Mixer Size: Fits 60 qt or 80 qt classic Hobart floor mixers (like the H600 or M802 series) when using a 40-qt reducer bowl and adapter.

• Design Type: "D" style heavy-duty wire whip.

Series: Classic/traditional Hobart line (not compatible with the spring-pin HL Legacy series).

I purchased a large lot of Hobart commercial mixing parts at auction and this whisk was the heaviest of the bunch by far.  It appears to be in very good condition with no missing tines.  Most of the information I have on this is based off the markings which I have taken pictures of.  There is a D/D marking which is most likely referring to the D style heavy duty commercial whisk.  It has "VMLH 40" marking on bottom which tells me it is a Hobart 40 quart stainless steel  whisk but it seems much larger and heavier than the other 40 quart whisks I have.  It also has "NSF" marking on bottom telling me it  is certified kitchen equipment by the National Science/Sanitation Foundation.  There is also a "7618"marking on the neck which may refer to a model number but I couldn't find anything exactly in my research.  This is a very large and heavy whisk.  Measurements can be seen on the last few pictures.
