A scarce early French edition of Monopoly produced by the MIRO Company, Paris, dating to approximately 1938–1940. This is one of the earliest licensed French versions of the game and features the desirable orange textured box, original folding Paris board, French Franc currency, wooden houses and hotels, original rules and original playing pieces.


The board is marked with Patent Application No. 3796-36 and “Breveté S.G.D.G.”, identifying it as an early pre-war production. A fantastic collector’s example with great display appeal.

3. Condition


Good vintage condition for its age (approximately 85 years old).


The board remains bright with only hinge wear and a small split to the centre fold. The box shows age-related wear and scuffs. The rules leaflet has historical tape repairs and foxing.
