This will be our final sales of the summer, we are planning on taking a break and doing some traveling to see family. Up for Auction is a AMAZING VICTORIAN ELKINGTON & Co CHERUBS FIGURAL STERLING SILVER TEA CADDY JAR. Part of a fine collection of Sterling Silver and Silver Plate from all over the world, listed this week. Be sure to check our other auctions and save greatly with combined shipping.

This is one of the finer Sterling Silver Tea Caddy Jars we have sold in some time. The Jar is superbly decorated with Victorian period repousse designs including Cherubs, very much in the Art Nouveau period design. The Jar itself is fully Hallmarked for the very important English Silversmiths Elkington & Co, Birmingham, Sterling Silver with the date letter for 1897. The Lid is Hallmarked for 1900 but I have no doubt this is an all original Jar, it was quite common for pieces to sit in storage for a few years and then completed and sold. I personally love this Jar and I am sure the new owner will be quite impressed. Selling without reserve, as always.

Condition : In fine condition with no bends, cracks or repairs.

Size & Weight : Measures approx. 3-1/4 inches tall by 3 inches across, with a Sterling Silver weight of 195 grams.

Special Note Regarding Tariffs: We will continue to be shipping all items to the USA with all tariffs and fees prepaid. They are included in our already low shipping costs. Our customers have loved this in the past and we will continue this for all the sales this week.
