This is an authentic, highly collectible vintage pair of souvenir salt and pepper shakers shaped like the iconic Washington Monument in Washington, D.C. Manufactured during the Art Deco era of the 1930s to 1940s, these shakers are made from genuine Catalin Bakelite plastic featuring a rich, marbled butterscotch swirl coloration with beautiful depth. The octagonal bases still retain their original cork stoppers and show their original metallic gold factory identification labels. One label is mostly complete, while the label on the right shaker has a partial tear on the left edge affecting the letter "W".
