This charming piece of vintage cross stitch embroidery features a detailed depiction of two pheasants, likely a male and female, amidst natural foliage in rich, earthy colors. The male pheasant, with his vibrant blue-green head and a body stitched in a mix of maroon, green, and gold tones, stands prominently on a small mound of earth. The female, in softer brown and white hues, is perched at his side. The background is filled with a variety of stitched plants and leaves in shades of red, pink, and turquoise, creating a rustic and autumnal scene. The intricate hand-stitched needlework is preserved under glass and housed in a classic wooden frame. This art piece would be a fabulous addition to a living room, den, or lodge-style home decor.
There is a small area of discoloration on the bottom portion, this could be easily reframed if desired. Also in many pictures the shadows and reflections on the glass appear to be discoloration, but it’s mainly my phone, and the surrounding walls.
I am willing to ship the work only. This will not affect the price, the only thing this changes is the shipping price, (which will be greatly reduced). The back shows how the mounting of this work is homemade, and explains why shipping without the glass, may be the best choice for safety.
