- Maybe one o receipts from me, which I will gather, but Ive been disorganised with the paperwork. No prior history, other than verbal from friend I bought it off (as a project - so very little service history)
- Time for me to sell, as its become a long term project and drive ornament and I have totally lost interest.
- Its got 120203 miles recorded at last MOT (mileage will be higher than this, but not much as it was a second car.
- Been SORN since 2022 due to head gasket failure.
- Bought as a project from mate
- I've tried to save it, for four years, but I can't spend anymore.
The Main issues in more detail
- The cylinder head is no longer sealing, big time. Coolant fires out the exhaust.
- Coolant is getting into the oil (got mayo on the rockers) and into the combustion chamber. Its been a driveway project for 4 years now.
- Initially cylinder 5 was low on compression, when I got it. I suspect its been that way for some time.
- I decided to pull the head, took it to a machinist. Had it leak down tested, it passed. Had it skimmed, Changed head gasket and bolts. Then it failed again, more severely, as described above. All cylinders are low on compression now.
- As a minimum its a head gasket, and oil and coolant is all contaminated. Could be cracked or damaged head, or worn out bottom end (no idea).
- The head is an 0331 head. The head gasket has been gone since at least 2019 before I bought it (i discovered)
- AC doesn't work, never has in my ownership, it wont just be a re-gas, it will be an expensive overhaul. The pipes look perished as a minimum, no idea condition of rest of the system.
- It needed coolant top ups since I got it, I think its had a blown head for some time (only slight at first on cylinder 5)
- Needs better tyres for MOT. Terrible INSA turbo tyres fitted, I think the rear drivers side would be an MOT fail due to under cord being visible
- It has an PRINS LPG system fitted, this doesn't work either, so is parts or repair. The tank is in the boot (it looks like the spare wheel on the side). The filler connection is below the rear bumper on the passenger side. There is a switch on the dash to switch between gas and petrol. The system is in poor condition and needs a service. I wouldn't use it until its gone for a service. The system has its own ECU next to the air box.
- Headliner is saggy and mucky as it was used as a work vehicle
- Has a ding on the rear boot hatch
- Scraped front bumper
- Holes in top of bumper where someone fitted some after market lights, I removed these.
- Rust is appearing on passenger rear wheel arch.
- I've never tested the towing electrics
- Rust hole in the driver's side top rear quarter in front of the boot hatch
- Key barrel is loose because the key has been pulled out in the wrong position.
- has 2000 era aftermarket head unit which works
- It needs a tps sensor, has the error code logged and tested it with multimeter.
- The wheels move, tyres hold air for moving, will need power winch to drag it on a trailer.
Parts I've changed, but largely irrelevant given the above:
- Multi point fuel injectors
- aux belt tensioners x2
- New calipers, discs, front hardware
- Rear drums and fitting hardware
- New midland leaf springs (unintentional lift as a result)
- New front springs, about an extra inch or two to compensate for rear.
- Rear braided steel brake line
- Banks torque tube headers and rear exhaust system (cost 900 USD, fired up three times)
- New CAT (include the old one as well in boot)
- Rear main seal
- New oil cap
- New coolant cap.
- Rocker cover gasket
- Oil filter housing seal
- New lifted front and rear shocks
- Ebay aluminium radiator
- New front drive shafts and ABS rings
- Water pump
- Water pump pipe
- Harmonic balancer
- Titanium exhaust studs and nuts
- Inlet manifold had a Crack so had it welded (not by me)
- Track bar
- Front spring bump stops
- New battery
- Lower coolant hose

- New aux belt, included but not fitted
