A unique pair of  handmade artisan assemblage earrings mounted on their original blue presentation card. The earrings combine antique-style brass-tone buttons, faux pearls, decorative chain, and mixed metal components in a one-of-a-kind design.

These pierced earrings are fascinating as they have an assemblage / found-object / mixed-media look—almost steampunk before "steampunk" became a style.

The earrings are magnetic, consistent with steel or iron-based components used in their vintage construction. They remain mounted to the original artist card and measure approximately 2 inches tall to the bottom of the chain. (see ruler photos).

The card appears hand-lettered, "by Allyn." An additional legend may read "Summer Street" as if an artist named his or her creation. This is my conjecture and is simply being described as best interpreted from the card. Summer Street could be descriptive of what the earrings are symbolic of. "Hot dog, summer in the city..."

These don't strike me as commercial but look like something sold at an art fair, gallery, or boutique in the 1970s–1990s. 

The earrings appear handmade, assembled from vintage buttons, faux pearls and beads, chain, brass-tone findings, and decorative metal components perhaps standing in for cars, curbs, concrete, and cellophane wrappings.
