KNOWN FAULT – SHUTTER BLADES STICKING
The shutter blades can stick, particularly after the camera has been left unused for a period.
When this happens, the shutter may not open when the release is pressed. A very light touch to the shutter blade while holding the release has been enough to start it moving again during testing. Once freed, it will generally continue firing for a period before potentially sticking again after being left.
This behaviour indicates that the shutter mechanism requires cleaning or servicing. No attempt has been made to dismantle or repair the camera, and buyers should carry out their own research before attempting any work.
The camera is not being sold as ready for immediate photographic use.
PHYSICAL CONDITION
The camera is in generally presentable vintage condition with signs of previous use.
There is lifting and deterioration to sections of the leatherette covering, particularly around the edges and side of the body. There are also age-related marks, rubbing and wear to the metal finish.
The film chamber has some dust and general age-related residue from previous light seals visible. Please inspect all photographs carefully for the exact cosmetic condition.
