The Rosetta Tarot Papyrus Edition by M. M. Meleen – 2017 Limited Edition of 777 – Factory Sealed

The Rosetta Tarot Papyrus Edition is a highly collectible 2017 limited edition created by esoteric artist and author M. M. Meleen. Only 777 signed and individually numbered copies were produced, and this example remains factory sealed and unused.

Originally introduced in 2011, the Rosetta Tarot was Meleen’s first complete tarot deck and preceded her acclaimed Tabula Mundi Tarot. Rooted in the esoteric structure of Aleister Crowley and Lady Frieda Harris’s Thoth Tarot, the Rosetta presents Meleen’s own original interpretations of the Major and Minor Arcana through richly detailed paintings informed by Hermeticism, astrology, alchemy, Qabalah, ceremonial magic, and the traditions of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn.

The 2017 Papyrus Edition is a remastered second printing of the original full-size Rosetta Tarot. Meleen retained the original artwork while revising the colors to more closely reproduce the appearance of her paintings. The cards were also redesigned with aged papyrus-style borders and titles rendered by hand in Egyptian hieroglyphs, creating an especially strong connection between the deck’s imagery, ancient Egyptian symbolism, and its Thoth-based foundation.

The Major Arcana display Roman numerals together with hieroglyphic names enclosed within cartouches. The Minor Arcana incorporate Egyptian numerals, elemental symbols, and hieroglyphic versions of their traditional esoteric titles. The suits follow the Thoth structure of Wands, Cups, Swords, and Disks.

The translation key allows the hieroglyphic titles to be deciphered, while the special significator card was designed so its owner could personalize it with their own name written in hieroglyphic form.
