Item Description:
This is Electrode from the Bandai Carddass Set, illustrated by Ken Sugimori. These are some of the earliest Pokemon cards ever made. They came out before the Base Set and were sold in vending machines in Japan. Personally, I love the Gameboy sprites on the backs of the cards.
The card pictured is the one you will receive. If you want any more pics, please ask! I will be selling these cards periodically so check back for simultaneous auctions and other File Cardass Cards.
All cards will be shipped out with a penny sleeve, inside of a top loader, and inside of a team bag, unless otherwise requested. I will send each order out within 3 business days.
More about the Set (from Bulbapedia):
Pocket Monsters Carddass Trading Cards are a set of Pokémon-themed trading cards that were manufactured by Bandai Carddass in 1996 and 1997 in Japan, with all artwork drawn by Ken Sugimori. There are 151 standard cards and several special cards. The standard cards each feature a Pokémon from Generation I.
The front of the standard cards of Part 1 & Part 2 were primitive in their appearance, as the artwork was early in its creation, and feature the words "Monsters Collection" emblazoned along the base of the card and "Pocket Monster" and card number at the top front of the card. The back of the cards provide information about the Pokémon Statistics, and also details the 1995 copyright, along with 1996 Made in Japan, Bandai. 12 Prism (Holo) cards were available in this set, including Mew & Mewtwo.
Carddass is a name given to Bandai's card vending machines and, thus, a generic term given to the cards sold by these machines. They were sold in sets of 5 cards for 100yen (or One card for 20yen).
pokemansandgames FAQ:
Are the cards in the images the one(s) I will be receiving?
Yes, the cards in the images are the ones you will receive. I do my best to take pictures of the cards to show any damage. Sometimes some light surface scratches or wear does not show up but I do my best to rate the card accordingly.
How do you rate your cards?
M - Perfect card
NM - Near perfect card, may be some very light denting/whitening on the edges/corners.
EX - May have light scratching, more noticeable whitening, or a light dent on the card surface, but does not detract from the appeal of the card.
LP - Card may have denting, whitening, or scratches, but is still in good condition.
MP - Card may have light bending, obvious whitening and scratches, light staining, and has clearly been handled.
HP - Card has a combination of bending, whitening, staining, and scratches, a step above from being obviously damaged.
Damaged - Card has been very obviously bent, parts of the surface may be missing, extreme wear and/or dirt.
How do you package your cards?
I package all my cards in a penny sleeve, then top loader, then a team bag.
For orders of 4 cards or less and $20 or less, I ship in a standard envelope. For more expensive and larger orders, I sandwich the cards between cardboard and/or bubble wrap and place them inside a bubble mailer or cardboard box depending on the order size.
If you would like to request that I pack something in a specific way, please message me.
My tracking said my card was delivered, but I never received my card...where is it?
If the card was shipped through eBay's shipping service, the tracking notifies you when the card enters your zipcode. Please wait 1-2 days after being notified before contacting me about a missing package.
If I have any questions about the card(s) or want more pictures can I message you?
Absolutely!
