⚙️ How Caliper Part-Exchange Works
To qualify for discounted part-exchange (P/X) pricing, your old calipers must be returned to me and pass inspection. 
I offer two convenient ways to complete your exchange:
Option 1: Standard Part-Exchange (Send Old Units First)
  1. Send your old calipers  first for inspection 
  2. I strip them down to verify they are fully serviceable.
  3. If they pass, you receive your refurbished calipers at the discounted P/X price (£240 less).
Option 2: Fast-Turnaround (Buy First, Return Later)
If you cannot have your vehicle off the road, you can request to receive your refurbished calipers first.
  1. You pay the full l price upfront.
  2. I post  your refurbished calipers immediately so you can install them.
  3. You return your old calipers to me within 14 days of receiving the new ones.
  4. Once your old calipers pass inspection, I will refund your £410 .

Description of rebuild process :


I treat every pair of calipers with the same care and attention. I

believe that an attractive finish is just as important as using new

seals, the correct assembly paste, and a meticulous rebuilding process.All components are fully stripped and carefully inspected.

The caliper housings are thoroughly degreased, cleaned, and shot-blasted to bare metal using fine glass bead media.All piston bores and seal grooves are checked and cleaned, and all threads are re-tapped to ensure perfect assembly.Two layers of corrosion-protection epoxy primer are applied, followed by three coats of the correct Porsche Guard Red paint.In

the meantime, all pistons are inspected. If there is any sign of wear

or corrosion, the piston is replaced. Otherwise, they are ultrasonic cleaned and

carefully polished.

The crossover pipes — often overlooked during rebuilds — are meticulously

inspected, particularly beneath the rubber bumper where corrosion

typically begins. If any corrosion is found, the pipe is replaced;

otherwise, it is stripped, cleaned, and treated with a special high-zinc

anti-corrosion primer.

A new set of rubber seals and bleed screws is fitted.After assembly, the calipers are left to rest for one week to allow the curing process to complete fully.

Once fully cured, they are coated with two layers of a special-grade

high-temperature ceramic coating. This significantly improves resistance

to brake dust and road debris while making them exceptionally easy to

clean. In most cases, wiping with a microfibre cloth is enough to

restore a like-new appearance.

Please note: they are not cheaply done and powder coated that is a wrong way of  doing them

 Why powder coating calipers is a wrong idea !

Heat Trapping:

Calipers act as heat sinks to dissipate heat from the braking system.

The thick layer of powder coating acts as an insulator, "encapsulating"

the caliper and trapping heat, which can lead to reduced braking

efficiency or fluid overheating in high-performance scenarios.

Annealing (Softening) the Aluminum: Aluminium

alloy calipers are often heat-treated for strength. The high

temperatures required for powder coating (around 200°C) can

sometimes approach or exceed the levels where aluminium begins to

"soften" or anneal, potentially compromising the structural integrity of

the part 

Destruction of Factory Protection:

The process often requires sandblasting to remove old coating, which

can strip away the original anti-corrosion treatments and damage the

surface of the softer aluminium, increasing its susceptibility to

corrosion.
