Registered a beach buggy on v5

Insured and used for  local runs / car shows  hence low mileage between mot. Noisy and impractical but puts a smile on your face and a fly in your teeth , people love it !

Built on an 1983 mexi bug chassis

Right hand drive from registered 

Built over Covid with my son first used to take him to his prom.

1200 engine with “big bore” kit fitted so 1380cc.original barrels still with car in big bore kit box. Stock carb / ignition

Dual buggy cannons exhaust

Stock 1200 gearbox

Chassis rebuilt and sprayed with grey bed liner.

Rear suspension new torsion bar rubbers fitted and coileover shocks. Rebuilt standard drum brakes.

Front good standard beam fitted with dropped spindles and disc brakes. No anti rollbar fitted and some small leaves removed for compliance due to weight.

New master cylinder fitted

Body original ff rat body lwb, standard front light panel cut off for more buggyish wings now uses standard buggy lights. Rear lights from a consul capri. Paint is a 5 foot paint job as up close there is crazing ( painted rover night fire red) .  Battery relocated into rear body, rear seat is more a body / battery cover no seatbelts in rear.

Rollcage fitted, half height plexi windscreen that can be folded down. No wipers fitted MOT pass as windscreen height.

Dash has Speedo / oil temp / oil pressure and a separate tachometer 

Push button start , still uses key to turn on car and steering lock. 

Red head upholstery buggy fibre glass front seats in brown fat biscuit vinyl. 3 point harness seat belts

Mag wheels rear 15/8 with off road tyres front 14/6 with 185 tyres

Comes with a merged header cut to fit a 1200 and a couple of silencers. Original heat exchangers, stock 1200 exhaust . Stock front spindles , spot lights and various other bits
