Original Joseph Lucas Ltd "Silver King of the Road" bicycle oil lamp, manufactured in Birmingham, England, dating from the late 1800s.

A genuine collector's piece retaining many original components, including:
Original convex front lens
Original coloured side lenses (one green and one red)

Original burner/wick assembly
Original maker's plaque reading Joseph Lucas Ltd – Silver King of the Road – Birmingham

Original mounting bracket
The lamp has not been restored, leaving an attractive original patina that collectors generally prefer.

Condition
Good original antique condition.
The lamp shows age-related wear, marks and surface corrosion consistent with over 100 years of age.

The internal reflector is cracked, but it remains present. The coloured side lenses are intact, and the burner assembly is still fitted.

The lamp is untested however all is present.
