 January 1898 - 144 pages, plus ad pages. Volume 3, Number 4.

 W.R. George JUNIOR REPUBLIC, Freeville NY.


This late 19th Century community was a self-governing youth ‘town’ founded in

Freeville, New York in 1895 by philanthropist William Reuben George.

It was a progressive social experiment to reform and educate impoverished,

 at-risk teenagers from New York City.


CONDITION

Both issues of these 128 year old issues are in good overall condition - 

complete and well intact.

Typical wear that would be expected for 100+ year old periodicals.

No loose pages.

No Markings.

The 1898 issue has numerous un-cut pages (top edge) – 

I’ll leave it to the new owner to decide how to address this condition.
