A rustic and sea worn beautiful opalescent SCHWEPPES codd bottle from 1890's to 1910s. Gorgeous colours on this one. The bottle is well worn, pitting, scuffing, and a surface bubble near the base (from the manufacturing process). Nibbles and chipping on the lip per photos.

This codd bottle is embossed SCHWEPPES. Marble intact inside which was held in place by the contents under pressure from carbonation.  This is a marble codd, a two way pour. Applied drippy top. Aqua glass turned frosty and slightly iridescent from the mineralisation over time. Approx 1890s.

Measuring 20cm tall.

This bottle was found diving on the central coast of NSW Australia, and after over 100 years of being lost on the ocean floor has created the opalescent colours and other surface pitting and discolouration.

This is such a lovely bottle, would be great to add to a collection or to display in your home or shop, or a gift! It's definitely a sought after collectors bottle, and the iridescence adds just that little bit more to make this one really a lovely find.

------------ Yes! I combine shipping! Excess postage will be refunded as soon as items are shipped.

Also to note: All of my bottles/jars/treasures have been dug up by hand from decades buried in the earth. As they are authentic vintage found excavated pieces, some may have small scratches/chips/marks.  I have cleaned all items with a slow soak bath in gentle detergent; however, some may retain slight remnants of dirt or rust which should be able to be removed with a more rigorous clean. Other various items included in photos are not for purchase/not included in the sale.

I combine shipping for a small fee. I use recycled packaging whenever possible and excessive amounts of bubble wrap to protect your treasure! :)
