This charming set of 4 small vintage ramekin dishes (about 8.5 cm external diameter at top and 4.5 cm deep) were made by T G Green in Church Gresley, Staffordshire. Hand painted with a decoration of lemons, in their Harvest Festival series, by Faith Shannon they have painted lemon pips inside as a little piece of fun.
I think these may have been seconds as there are blemishes under the glaze around the rim of 3 of these as well as cosmetic wear due to use. The one without the rim blemishes has some dark marks inside, again which seem to be under the glaze.
Bought in a charity shop because they have local interest ( I live about 7 miles from where they were made and have spoken to many people who worked at T G Green before it closed). I will never use them for their original purpose so time to pass them on.
I have other pieces of tableware from the factory as well as numerous other china items picked up over the last 40 years.
