Rare Authentic Original Victorian Edwardian 14K Solid Gold Brooch Safety Pin 🧷 Unmarked, tested as 14K gold, might be higher ? Weighs approximately 1.7 grams. Total length in closed position approximately 4.29 cm (1  11/16 inches)  from furthest left curved edge to furthest right curved edge. Approximately 7.8 mm (4.9/16 of an inch) furthest top edge wire to furthest bottom edge wire. The 14K gold wire is approximately 1 mm in thickness. This is the ancient ancestor for the modern safety pin, even the babies in the good old days enjoyed gold ! Nothing says hooked on you as well as a solid gold safety pin !
