A very fine old 4/4 violin, labeled Antonio Gagliano via Cirriglio No 75 Neap. fecit Anno 1732. The instrument is in ready to play condition with tears, wears, old repaired crack to tailpiece and old repaired crack with bushings to g-peg-hole. The violin has an excellent straight medium grained spruce of the top and two pieces back of softly flamed maple with matched sides. The neck and scroll of strongly flamed maple. Rich golden amber varnish with some tears shows an amazing wooden choice. The whole length of the violin is 595 mm and the back 360 mm.
