Notes:: There's something unmistakably Lionel about a steam locomotive rounding the curve with illuminated heavyweight passenger cars in tow. This Milwaukee Special set captures that classic postwar spirit while adding Lionel's late-production Mighty Sound of Steam & Whistle, working smoke, illuminated cars, and a complete ready-to-run package. This set comes with its original box, molded Styrofoam insert, paperwork, transformer, controller, track, locomotive, tender, and three Milwaukee Road passenger cars. An increasingly difficult combination to find together. Included Lionel 8305 steam locomotive Matching Milwaukee Road tender Three illuminated Milwaukee Road passenger cars: Chicago Milwaukee Washington Lionel transformer Lock-on and controller Original O-27 track Original instruction manuals and paperwork Original Lionel Milwaukee Special box Original Styrofoam insert Condition Very nice vintage condition overall. The locomotive retains crisp lettering and presents well with only light signs of previous use. Passenger cars remain bright with clean graphics and windows. Original packaging is present, showing expected shelf wear, edge wear, stains, tape residue and age from decades of storage. Styrofoam insert remains intact with expected minor handling wear. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form part of the description. Operational Notes Set appears complete and has been assembled for inspection. The locomotive has not yet undergone extended operational testing. Because this is vintage electrical equipment, buyers should anticipate routine inspection, lubrication, cleaning and service appropriate for a train of this age before regular operation. Features Mighty Sound of Steam & Whistle Smoke unit Illuminated passenger cars Die-cast steam locomotive Complete O-27 starter layout Original Lionel transformer and accessories Original box and documentation Ships carefully packed with the original Styrofoam protected inside a second shipping carton
