Original Schafer & Vater match holder.
Approximately 100 years old.
Difficult to describe by modern condition standards,
but there are no major damages such as cracks or chips.
I would consider this to be in very good condition among the examples that surface only occasionally.
The crown mark on the bottom is difficult to capture in photographs, but can be seen faintly upon close inspection.
As typical for bisque bodies with cold-painted decoration, there is natural age-related paint loss/crazing.
This is a normal age-related characteristic.
Photos are of the actual item—please review detailed photos for exact condition and measurements.
