This is a beautiful vintage Mid-Century Modern metal smoking desk set made in Japan. The set features colorful enamel decoration depicting the island of Japan and various cities throughout the country. Included are the original lighter, ashtray, and tobacco box, all designed to fit neatly together as a matching desktop smoking accessory set.
The lighter appears complete and is designed to be refilled. The removable ashtray lifts out for easy cleaning, and the interior of the tobacco box remains clean and presents nicely. The colorful enamel graphics display very well and make this a striking decorative piece even when not in use.
This set comes housed in its original storage case. Both the smoking set and case show honest cosmetic wear from age, use, and storage, including scratches, scuffs, finish wear, and other age-related imperfections as shown in the photographs. We found nothing that detracts from the overall display quality of the set.
