This authentic Recuerdo de Chile copper box is a fine example of mid-century Chilean craftsmanship by artist Enrique Avalos, dating back to the late 1930s.
The box features a highly detailed Coat of Arms of Chile beautifully rendered in repoussé (raised relief) on the lid. The rest of the external copper cover is completely smooth, highlighting the metal's natural luster and warmth. The bottom of the piece is hand-stamped with the artist's markings, explicitly noting that it is hand-made and crafted in Chile.
The interior is fully lined with smooth, clean wood. The bottom section is thoughtfully divided into two unequal compartments, making it perfect for organized storage, jewelry, or desktop accessories.
