In good used condition, with marks from normal use - see photos. I’ve been at pains to highlight any blemishes, which are superficial and could readily be tidied up. Low mileage. The two-speed transmission achieves a noticeably lighter rear wheel than hub-gear models.

Upgrades that shave off further weight:

• Brompfication self-aligning hinge clamp. (See below re Brompton frame-fitting toolkit.)
• Brompfication seat post quick-release

Seat post

Upgraded to Lightskin aluminium model with five integrated red LEDs powered by two internal AA batteries. Fully extended to the minimum insertion mark (see photos) this gives a distance from saddle top to lowest pedal position of 31 inches.  Combined with Brompton’s low handlebar version, this provides a comfortable riding position for a person up to about 5 feet 5 inches tall. Significantly taller riders might install a longer seat post. (Bromptons have only one frame size, so seat post length and handlebar height are the only variables.)

·       Almost all detailing is black, creating a subtle and unified aesthetic.

·       Brompton toolkit included. This has been carried separately. To fit inside the main frame tube as intended, the existing Brompfication hinge clamp would need to be swapped for the standard version.

S  Nearly-new Schwalbe Marathon Racer tyres, ridden less than 30 miles. 

·       Brompton/Zefal frame-fitting pump.

Reason for sale: Reluctant replacement with a heavier, lower-geared model, to cope with Alpine climbs. However the simpler transmission of the S2L is lighter and suitable for flattish, day-to-day riding.
