Diary and Letters of Madame D'Arblay 7 Vol. Set, Colburn, 1842-46. Decent robust set of volumes from Madame D'Arblay, aka Fanny Burney. The books have been rebound at some point. The binding is okay but not that attractive. For Volume 7, the boards and spine are upside down. The boards are robust but have some blemishes and are a bit worn - as I have shown the end papers have been well fixed. The text blocks themselves are generally pretty good. There is some age related wear & tear and missing/detached tissue guards, but on the whole the interiors are pretty good. There would probably be scope for rebinding if desired. Despite the average binding, an important set of books which give a great insight into one of the leading novelists and diarists of the era. Any questions drop me a line.
