This is a lovely necklace, perfect for everything from a formal occasion to every day wear.  There is a large 18.8 x 14 mm oval faceted opaque natural sapphire that is a great shade of deep dark blue.  It is a natural cut stone and may have things common to natural stones like occlusions or striations which are difficult to see at even a small distance.  The sapphire is surrounded by 8 round brilliant cut genuine diamonds.  The chain is a standard oval link design and has links to easily make it 16”, 17” or 18”.  The chain and the setting are both marked 925, for sterling silver, and MLD.  It is believed that this was part of the Colleen Lopez collection from HSN.  This necklace weighs a total of about 8.6 g.
