This car is brand new but please note that the card does have some moderate wear on the edges and corners (including a large ding on the upper left edge).  While not shown, this will come in a new protector.  The protector does have a a split in the hinge, and is being included to help prevent shipping damage.  This will be shipped in a box for protection.
