Marklin 0 gauge prewar electrically powered turntable with switch - needs work.
This extremely rare piece is not working and needs restoration.
This is the factory built electric turntable not a manual one that was later fitted with a 13295 M motorizing kit.
These after market accessories drove the pulley wheel on the windlass via a belt. This is drives a ring gear under the turntable.
The drive train works but the motor does not. It is lacking brushes, brush springs and caps.
It needs rewiring. The field coils have been tested and work well. The commutator has been fiddled with but is complete though I fear needs work.
Of course there is the option of taking out the original motor and putting in a modern one, connecting it to the worm gear via the grub screws and it would work straight off. So long as the installation was reversable and did not involve modifying the existing structure it would be a practical and harmless solution.
The operators cabin needs to be replaced. There may be other parts that are missing. I have never seen or worked on one before, so I just don't know.
Included is the switch control and the original instructions for connecting up electromagnetic accessories and lights.
Finally it came in wooden box that maybe original, there are no markings on it.
