The viola has an excellent high to medium grained spruce of the top and two pieces back of strongly flamed maple with matched sides and scroll. The purfling is professionally executed and the edges are masterfully done. The whole length of the violin is 629 mm and the back 383 mm. Width of the upper bout: 189 mm; middle: 127 mm; lower: 225 mm. The sound of this instrument is of a charming character, rich, warm, beautiful colors, depth and great carrying power.
