This is a nice, original printing of The Biltmore by Elbert Hubbard. This item was previously owned by the set designer Jack Okey, not to be confused with the actor. He has hand stamped many of the pages and the front cover with his name. I count 14 name stamps in the piece.....The piece was created to promote the opening of the original Biltmore Hotel, which was a grand luxury establishment built by the Vanderbilt family and John McE. Bowman at Vanderbilt and Madison Avenues (43rd and 44th Streets) in New York City. Hubbard’s writing style was highly characteristic of his Roycroft philosophy—combining travel literature, business history, and philosophical musings

Measures 5.5" x 8.5"

There is some mild surface discoloration and, mild rubbing wear along spine, stamps from Jack Okey throughout.
